Aleksei Vais is a maritime executive, entrepreneur and shipowner with more than 20 years of international experience across bunker trading, physical marine fuel supply and fuel logistics. He has built and managed businesses across multiple segments of the bunker industry.
As founder and former owner of ARTE Bunkering, Aleksei developed the company into an international bunker trading operation with seven offices worldwide. Earlier in his career, he worked in bunker sales and trading at Bominflot Estonia and later served as Commercial Director of Lukoil-Bunker Italy, gaining extensive experience in both bunker trading and refinery-linked physical supply operations.
Today, Aleksei is the CEO and Owner of Starbunker OÜ, a physical bunker supplier in Estonia, delivering marine fuels to vessels at Tallinn roads by bunker tanker and across Estonian ports by truck. He is also a shipowner through Trustbunker OÜ and is involved in fuel logistics through a fleet of 10 trucks operated by Einmix OÜ.
His experience covers the full bunker supply chain, from trading, procurement, pricing and credit risk to physical delivery, marine and land logistics, vessel operations and commercial development.
